Real Estate License: Basic Approach
Thursday, February 7th, 2008The first approach to get a real estate license was that if a sale of an ongoing business involves any real estate at all, the unlicensed broker is denied a commission. A second view holds that if the personality is susceptible to a reasonable valuation, the broker is entitled to payment on that portion of the transaction. A third approach holds that a broker would not be precluded from a commission if the real estate was merely incidental to the sale of the entire business.
